Mizzou Falls to Illinois in Third Consecutive Loss
The Missouri Tigers basktball team is now 7-5 following their third consecutive loss on Friday, this time against the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Braggin’ Rights Showdown in St. Louis saw a final score of 97-73, putting Illinois at 9-2 on the season. Despite an early 2-0 lead, a rough offensive effort from the Tigers led to the Illini taking the lead and not looking back. Illinois led by 25 at the half and by the beginning of the fourth quarter, Mizzou cut that lead down to 17, but never found the moves needed to get any closer to a victory. The game ended with a three at the final buzzer from freshmen Trent Pierce, who replaced Aidan Shaw as a first-time starter.

The now 7-5 Tigers will return home on December 30th to face the 3-10 Central Arkansas Bears at 2 P.M.
