MO-DOT Wrapping Up Jefferson County Projects

(FESTUS) An engineer with the Missouri Department of Transportation says two Jefferson County road projects are almost completed. Stephen O’Connor, MO-DOT Area Engineer for Jefferson and Franklin Counties says work will be wrapping up soon at Route 61/67 in Jefferson County from north of the Meramec River to south of Collier Drive. Work includes resurfacing the pavement and upgrading the guardrail to meet safety standards.
In regards to completing the “J” turns on Route “M” in Barnhart, according to O’Connor, there are water issues at Moss Hollow and St. Luke’s Church Road.
O’Connor says pavement repair work continues on Highway 21 between Highway 141 and Route M. This work is leading up to a project scheduled to resurface Route 21 between Gravois (Route 30) and the Meramec River, starting later this year.
