Model of Consistency, DeSoto’s Lillie Kaempfe Makes Cross Country Dream Team for 2nd Time

(DESOTO) A JCAA Conference individual championship and a 21st place finish at state helps lead to DeSoto senior Lillie Kaempfe’s selection to the Cross Country Dream Team.

Kaempfe ran her best time ever at the state course in Columbia in a time of 19-minutes and 35-seconds, qualifying her for an All-State medal.

Lillie says that the All-State achievement is because of her team’s and her brother’s impact on her.

Lillie will be attending Missouri State next year because the cross country program has been very welcoming and has had great success recently.

Lillie Kaempfe wraps up her cross country career at DeSoto with two All-State finishes while also helping lead the Dragons to a 2nd place team finish at state this year, the best in program history.
