MoDOT on last weeks winter storm

(Jefferson County) Not only was it busy for law enforcement agencies during last weeks winter storm, Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews worked 12 plus hour shifts clearing all state roads.

MoDOT Engineer Stephen O’Connor says road crews did a great job cleaning off state routes around Jefferson County.

O’Connor mentions since the system started out as rain, MoDOT crews were not able to pretreat the roads.

7 inches of snowfall was measured at KJFF in Festus with the rest of Jefferson County reporting a little more or a little less accumulation in certain spots.
