MoDOT Open House on I-55 Improvements

(Jefferson County) The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking input from residents and highway users regarding the I-55 Corridor Improvement Project.
The proposal includes the cities of Pevely, Herculaneum, Festus and Crystal City.
The project call for the addition of third southbound lane from Pevely to U-S Highway 67.
MoDot Engineer Stephen O’Connor says a third lane southbound lane will improve safety.
There will be two meetings this week with the same information presented both in person and virtually.
Wednesday’s open house meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6:30pm at the Festus Public Library.
Thursday’s virtual meeting will be held on Zoom from 7-8pm. Registration is required for the virtual meeting at www.bit.ly/register-I55.
