Money Coming to Crawford & Washington Counties for High-Speed Internet Infrastructure

(Potosi) The federal government is awarding 26-million dollars to expand middle mile high-speed internet infrastructure in Missouri, including some counties in the listening area.

The funding will go to Missouri Network Alliance LLC.

This money will expand internet infrastructure in several Missouri counties but locally, it will be used in Crawford, Washington and Franklin counties.

Middle mile internet infrastructure carries large amounts of data over long distances, boosts network resiliency, increases competition to drive down costs, and helps connect unserved regions to the internet backbone.

Missouri Network Alliance is one of 35 projects getting funding totaling 930-million as part of the Middle Mile Grant Program.
