(Steelville) From 2015-2019, 41 people died in Crawford County because of drug overdoses and 27 of those were due to opioids. Meramec Regional Planning Commission wants to bring light to the issue of substance use disorder and is holding an awareness walk in Steelville this Saturday. Christa Harmon is with the MRPC and founder of Mid-MO Addiction Awareness Group.

The walk is this Saturday in Steelville and will meet at the Steelville Schools Administration Building across from the Middle School, walkers will travel on Missouri Highway 19 South and go through town. The walk is free and if you want more information go to meramecregion.org.
