MRPC Opioid Use Disorder Awareness Walk

(Steelville) The Meramac Regional Planning Commission wants you to walk with them to raise awareness for opioid use disorder. MRPC’s Rural Opioid Initiative is teaming up with Mid-MO Addiction Awareness Group to host 3 awareness walks. The first will be held in Steelville on August 22nd. Samantha Maddison with MRPC explains.

The walk begins at the Steelville Schools Administration Building and will follow MO Highway 19 before entering town. If you have questions about opioid use disorder Maddison has the place for you.

Maddsion urges those interested in helping to reach out to their community and see if any organizations need help.

MRPC will host two other walks, one in Salem on August 29th and in Belle on October 3rd.
