Authorities in St. Francois County are investigating 2 different incidents involving shots fired on a vehicle.

The latest came Wednesday night at Sweeney Auto Salvage on Highway 32 in Park Hills.

Chief Richard McFarland says Park Hills police received a report of a man being fired on from a while Volkswagen with 4 men inside.

After slowing down to approach the suspects on the side of the highway, the man fled the scene but was pursued by the Volkswagen, which fired a second shot that hit the man’s windshield.

A separate shooting occurred on November 27th when a man driving a blue Jeep fired 4 shots into the air on Edna Drive in Farmington.

There have also been reports of gun fire in Terre Du Lac twice since October.

Authorities do not believe these incidents are connected.
