(St. Louis) With careful and ongoing consideration, The Muny announced on Monday a revised schedule to offer musical theatre in Forest Park this summer.

Pushing opening night to late July, The Muny hopes to present five of the seven productions originally announced in the 2020 season, with the other two productions being postponed until the 2021 season.

Kwofe Coleman is the Managing Director of the Muny. He says the decision to move forward with the modified season was made based information from national and local health experts and officials.

According to Coleman, the Muny continues to monitor and adapt to the guidance of those officials.

The Muny is planning on opening the season on Monday, July 20th with a performance of “Chicago”.

However, in a press release by the Muny, if by June 8th conditions for a July 20th opening have not been deemed safe and positive for the community, the entire season will be postponed until the summer of 2021.
