The National Weather Service is tracking a large storm that will leave the Regional Radio area soaking wet and even frozen.

Kevin Deitsch with the St. Louis office says the system is multi-faceted.

The biggest concern overnight Thursday and all day Friday is torrential rain.

High winds create the possibility of severe thunderstorms tonight, but the storm is not expected to reach that level in our area.

But as the storm and its warmer temperatures start pushing out Friday night and Saturday, Dietsch says icing from leftover rain could be a factor.

Snow and ice accumulations are not expected to be more than 2 inches for most of the Parkland.
