NCAA Says No Fans at March Madness

St. Louis will host first and second round games of the men’s NCAA tournament on Thursday and Saturday of next week, but only a select few people will be in attendance.
The NCAA announced today that fans will not be allowed to attend its upcoming championships, including both the men’s and women’s NCAA March Madness tournaments.
Mark Emmert, NCAA president, said in a press release, “I have made the decision to conduct our upcoming championship events, including the Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, with only essential staff and limited family attendance”.
Emmert said his decision is based on the status of the virus in the United States and discussions he had with public health officials and their own COVID-19 advisory team. Regional Radio will have coverage of the men’s March Madness tournament from the Sweet Sixteen through the National Championship on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
