Nearly All Mark Twain National Forest Campgrounds Open

(Enough) With Memorial Day weekend coming up, officials with the Mark Twain National Forest say they have several areas for campers to spend the holiday weekend.

Here’s Forest Ranger Becky Ewing from the Potosi/Fredericktown Ranger District.

We asked Ewing if they have lifeguards at Council Bluff Lake which is located in northern Iron County, just off ‘D-D’ Highway.

Other places to camp in the Mark Twain National Forest include Berryman Campground, Hazel Creek Campground near Palmer, Marble Creek Recreation Area in western Madison County, Sutton Bluff Recreation Area near Centerville and Loggers Lake Recreation Area located south of Bunker.
