New Autism Program A Success

(Farmington) Hope 4 Autism in Farmington has completed the pilot class for a new PEERS Program. That stands for Program for the Education and Enhancement of Relational Skills. Luann Honerkamp with Visions of Hope helped to develop the program. She says the goal of the 16 week program is to help with the social skills of young adults who fall under the Autism Spectrum.

Joseph Govero falls under the Autism Spectrum and has gone through the PEERS Program. He says it was a great help.

The first PEERS Program has just wrapped up. Honerkamp says they hope to start a second program by early February. You can find our more about PEERS by going to Dress To Impress in downtown Farmington.
