New Hunting Season Approved by Missouri Conservation Commission

(Farmington) Another first for Missouri hunters later this year. Last week, the Missouri Conservation Commission officially approved a new animal to hunt.

Here’s Joe Jerek, the state spokesman for the Department of Conservation.

Black bear hunting will broke down into 3 zones with Zone 2 encompasses the Regional Radio listening area.

Jerek breaks down the harvest quotas.

Those interested can apply for black bear hunting permits throughout the month of May by going to mdc.mo.gov/buypermits.

A random drawing of applicants will be determined by July 1st.

Once selected, you can buy a bear hunting permit for 25 dollars.

Hunters must be 11 or older.
