(Desloge) The City of Desloge is accepting bids right now for equipment to be placed in new police vehicles.

The decision to accept the bids were made during Monday night’s city council meeting.

However, City Administrator Dan Bryan says those vehicles are still not in the possession of the City.

Also at Monday night’s Desloge City Council meeting, Mayor David Kater made a special presentation.

In other news from the Desloge City Council meeting, Joe Goff Sr. asked to not be appointed the city’s prosecuting attorney for a whole year.

Instead, he will work for the City on a monthly basis until the City can find a full-time prosecutor.

Also, Sue Ross was appointed to the library board and a family was given the go ahead to care for chickens on their property.
