New security cameras to be installed on buses in Hillsboro

(Hillsboro) The Hillsboro R-3 School District has installed new security cameras on a select number of buses.

Hillsboro schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson says the idea came about when the owner and co-owner of SafeAssist Innovations in Hillsboro approached the school with a business proposal.

Dr. Isaacson goes over the system setup.

Right now only one bus in the school district is outfitted with the new camera system.

However, the district recently purchased four more systems and plan to install them as soon as possible.

Dr. Isaacson is hopeful to install more security cameras on additional buses when funding allows.
