New Superintendent on the Job at Ste. Genevieve School District

(Ste. Genevieve) Dr. Paul Taylor is the new superintendent for the Ste. Genevieve School District.

He took over for Dr. Julie Flieg on July 1st.

We asked Dr. Taylor how his first few weeks are going.

We also asked Dr. Taylor if he has any big goals for the district.

Dr. Taylor wants to give a shout-out to the R-2 custodial staff who have been quite busy, preparing for the new school year.

Here are some dates of interest for the Ste. Genevieve School District.

The open house for Bloomsdale and Ste. Gen Elementary for Pre-K and kindergarten is Wednesday, August 16th.

Open house for 1st through 5th grade at Bloomsdale and Ste. Gen is Thursday the 17th.

Middle school open house is Thursday the 24th and the high school open house will be Wednesday the 30th.

Also, the districts’ annual tax rate hearing will be Tuesday evening, August 29th at 6:30.

The school board meeting for August was pushed back to that date as well.

It will begin after the tax rate hearing concludes.
