Next Northwest High School Principal Announced

(Cedar Hill) Northwest High School’s next principal has been selected.

Current assistant principal Dr. Stella Viehland will take the reins from Principal Brad Snell who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Northwest schools Superintendent Dr. Desi Kirchhofer says Dr. Viehland is also a 1996 Northwest High graduate.

The promotion of Dr. Viehland came at the right time as Dr. Jennifer Hecktor, the upcoming superintendent, was able to sit in on interviews and help pick the right candidate for the job.

Snell is retiring after working almost 30 years in the Northwest School District, 15 of those years spent at the high school principal.

Dr. Viehland will take over as principal of the high school on July 1st.
