(Farmington/Festus) Next week is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Missouri.
Melissa Mainhart is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in St. Louis.
She tells us why they always have this special week in early March.
Mainhart says Severe Weather Preparedness Week will focus on a different safety message for each day of next week.
The tornado drill is scheduled for next Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock.
Schools, businesses and families are all encouraged to participate in the drill.
