No Big Changes in Drought Conditions for Southeast Missouri

(Farmington) No big changes in drought conditions compared to the previous week in southeast Missouri.

That’s according to the latest map of drought conditions in Missouri put out by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Moderate drought conditions continue to persist in western Dent County and western and southern Shannon County.

Abnormally dry conditions continue to linger in eastern Dent, northeast Shannon, all of Crawford and Jefferson counties, northern Washington, western Reynolds, southern Wayne and the western tip of Iron County.

The rest of the listening area is enjoying normal conditions at the moment.

Other parts of Missouri are not as lucky as extreme, severe and moderate drought conditions hold on in much of western, northern and the mid-section of the state.
