No more texting while driving in Missouri

Drivers in Missouri can now be ticketed for texting while driving, as that law went into effect on Monday. Crystal City Attorney Scott Harness says drivers must use a hands-free device while behind the wheel.

Harness says drivers who are cited can face hefty fines, especially if they are involved in an accident.

The only catch is, like the seatbelt law, police agencies must pull a driver over for a separate driving violation.
