North County Baseball Ready To Hit The Diamond

(Bonne Terre) Springtime means the North County Raiders are back on the baseball diamond. The Raiders went 10-12 last season, but with new leadership under first-year head coach and former Murray State pitcher Jacob Donze, the Blue and Gold want to establish an aura similar to the teams from the early 2000s.

The Raiders return some key upperclassmen that Donze expects to have a breakout year.

Donze says the strength of this team is at the pitcher’s mound and that he has a load of guys that can come out of the bullpen.

Raiders fans may recognize some of the names that Coach Donze is excited to coach this season. That’s because most of his guys are multi-sport athletes for North County. Donze says that these individuals have not missed a beat going from season to season.

The Raiders will play the STL Patriots in the Valle Opening Day Tournament in Ste. Genevieve.
