North County Boys Become Last Undefeated Team in MAAA Large School Division with Win over Ste. Gen on J98

(Bonne Terre) The North County Raiders’ boys basketball kept their win streak alive as they downed Ste. Genevieve in Bonne Terre tonight 65-44 on J98.

A great first quarter gave North County all the breathing room they needed for the rest of the game.

The Dragons hung around a double-digit deficit for most of the game but North County’s Karter Kekec got hot in the third quarter and put the game to bed early.

Kekec was named the Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game as he finished with 19 points and four three-pointers.

Raiders’ head coach Jimmy Palmer says he loved the effort from his team defensively, particularly early on in the game.

North County improves to (13-1) and (3-0) in MAAA Large School play as they head out on the road tomorrow to take on the Potosi Trojans.

Ste. Genevieve falls to (12-6) and (3-1) in MAAA Large School play and will be at home tomorrow against the Jefferson Bluejays.
