(HILLSBORO) The JCAA Boys Basketball Shootout at Jefferson College wrapped up Saturday with three games on J98. North County won the first one 47-45 over St. Vincent in dramatic fashion. Here’s the Kolten Poorman to Jonathan Starkey connection with seconds to spare.

North County head coach Jimmy Palmer takes us through the final 8 seconds and what was running through his mind when Poorman got stuck in the corner.

Starkey finished with a game-high 20 points.

Game 2 of the night went to DeSoto as the Dragons beat St. Pius 58-57. The Lancers actually led 43-32 entering the 4th quarter. That’s when DeSoto’s Clayton Snudden put on a show.

DeSoto head coach Zeb Hammond addresses Snudden being the spark the Dragons needed to come back and win.

Snudden finished with 20 points for the Dragons and on the other side, St. Pius’ Riley Naeger led with 22.

The final game of the JCAA Shootout went to Hillsboro as the Hawks soared past Jefferson 58-36 behind 24 points from Michael Brewer. The Gilster Mary Lee play of the game came on an inbound play in the 3rd.
