(DESOTO) The North County girls soccer team marched into DeSoto Wednesday night and shut down the Dragons 4-0 on KREI and KJFF. The Raiders were scrappy and persistent early on, getting the jump on DeSoto just a few minutes into the match.

Two minutes later, Juli Farr scored the 2nd goal for the Raiders from the corner.

Around the 25th minute of the first half, North County scored again, this time with Ella Gant benefitting from a Farr corner kick.

Then for good measure, Farr and Gant teamed up for a 4th goal off of a free kick just outside the 6-yard box.

That was DeSoto senior soccer player Clayton Patterson joining the broadcast. Raiders head coach Bill Farr talked about Gant’s excitement that her’s and Farr’s play actually worked.

North County improves to 3-1 this season and will face Hillsboro at home on Thursday. With the loss, DeSoto falls to 0-2 and will be back home Thursday to face Fredericktown.
