It’ll be frigid in Bonne Terre as the North County Raiders host the Hillsboro Hawks in the Class 3 boys soccer state sectionals Wednesday evening on KREI and KJFF.

The match had to be pushed back from Tuesday night due to inclement weather.

Hillsboro is 18-5-1 and won the District 2 championship powered by senior midfielder Mark Moore’s 34 goals.

But the Hawks fell 5-1 at North County on October 17th.

Head coach Chris Schaat says his team has to start stronger and do what they do best to get a better result this time.

North County knocked off the top seed Cape Central in the District 1 title match to improve to 15-7.

Raiders head coach Rob O’Keefe points to their district semifinal win as a turning point.

The winner faces either Webster Groves or Ladue in the state quarterfinals Saturday.
We’ll have coverage starting at 5:45 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
