North County Raiders’ Nick Hawkins Signs to Run at Columbia College

(Bonne Terre, Mo.) Distance running takes stamina both mentally and physically.

Nick Hawkins, of North County High School, proved he has both and signed to continue his running career at Columbia College.

He says he didn’t see it coming.

Hawkins has an impressive high school resume, running a variety of distance events, but in college he plans to narrow his program down and focus on 2 specific races.

While in school, Nick plans to study criminal justice and has big dreams for the future.

Raiders’ track coach Steve Connor raved about Hawkins, saying he worked hard both on and off the track.

Nick wants to thank his coaches and parents.
