(BONNE TERRE, Mo.) – Two 4-3 football teams will try to improve their seeding in their respective districts as the North County Raiders host the Potosi Trojans Friday on J-98. After losing three straight games at the beginning of the year, Potosi has since regrouped with a three-game winning streak. Head coach Ed Haar said his players have been able to beat other teams by not beating themselves.

Potosi hasn’t won against North County since 2014. Coach Haar said to break that drought, they will have to rely on their strong defense.

It will be Senior Night for the Raiders as they look for their fourth win in five games. Head coach Brian Jones said a win would be crucial toward helping their seeding in the log-jammed Class 4 District 1 standings.

In order to get the best of the Trojans, Coach Jones said his players will have to match their physicality.

Both Potosi and North County sit in fourth place in their respective district standings. They will do battle Friday night in Bonne Terre with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 6 p.m. and kickoff at 7 p.m. on J-98.
