North County Tame the Dragons on the Gridiron on J98

(Bonne Terre) The North County Raiders football team pitched a shutout tonight as they took down the DeSoto Dragons 62-0 on J98. North County received the opening kickoff and scored eight plays later.

Devin Seastrand had one carry on the season coming into the game against DeSoto, and he made the most of senior night with two touchdown runs.

The offense scored all 28 points in the first half for the Raiders, but the defense decided to get in on the party.

The defense wasn’t done though. They got a stop on the ensuing possession and forced a Dragon punt.

The Raiders scored three defensive touchdowns in the shutout and head coach Brian Jones says it was a big goal to put a goose egg up on the board for the defense.

Our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game was quarterback Nolan Reed as he facilitated an offense that put up 42 of the 62 total points for the Raiders. North County moves to 2-1 on the season and will travel to Hillsboro next Friday while DeSoto falls to 0-3 and will travel to Festus to take on the Tigers.
