(POTOSI, Mo.) – With the regular season winding down, the North County Raiders will look for a third-straight win as they visit the Potosi Trojans in the gridiron Friday. Those back-to-back victories against Hillsboro and Windsor have helped the Raiders rebound from a rough start. Now at 2-5, Raiders head coach Brian Jones said the quarterback play from sophomore Nolan Reed has started to improve.

As far as the matchup this week, Jones said the main focus will be stopping Potosi’s running attack.

Potosi will bring in a 3-4 record, losing two straight games against Park Hills Central and New Madrid County Central. Trojans head coach Ed Haar said some mistakes have halted their offensive production.

Despite North County not having as much experience at the skill positions, Haar said their offense will still be challenging.

Kickoff between North County and Potosi is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday on J-98. The Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show will begin at 6 p.m.
