(BONNE TERRE, Mo.) – The North County Raiders volleyball team captured victory Tuesday night in comeback fashion over the Potosi Trojans, 22-25, 25-18, and 25-14 on the MyMoInfo SportStream.

The Raiders actually led 10-4 in set one, but a Potosi timeout propelled the Trojans to a comeback.

Senior middle blocker and team leader in kills Olivia Coleman was instrumental for Potosi in the opening set win.


After Potosi took the first set 25-22, the North County Raiders proceeded to control the second throughout, led by senior Dream Teamer and Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game, Kayleigh Winch.

A 25-18 set two win for North County led to a decisive third set.

The final frame began close with a 12-12 tie, but a 13-2 run propelled the Raiders to the win.

With the 25-14 set three victory, North County took the match 2 sets to 1.

Raiders head coach Chelsey Crocker was happy with the win, especially since her team was a little short-handed.

North County improves to 9-7 and next has a road match on Thursday at Central.

Potosi falls to 8-8 and will host Fredericktown coming up on Thursday.
