North County's Evan Veach Is The Applebee's Of Farmington Athlete Of The Week

(Bonne Terre) Evan Veach has been crushing it on the tennis court for North County this season. He went perfect in singles and doubles last week and was named the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week. Veach, playing in the number one singles and doubles spots for the Raiders, won his singles matches versus Festus and Potosi with a pair of 8-0 wins and teamed with Noah Stark to win their doubles matches. Veach is the only returning varsity player from last year, so it’s been a bit of a learning experience this spring…

Veach, a former cross country runner, has only been playing tennis for a few years. He says his forehand and nearly 110 mile-per-hour serve are the strongest parts of his game. Veach says the key to a good serve is mastering the timing of the process…
