North County’s Kamryn Winch Posts Up On Winter Dream Team

(Bonne Terre) North County Center Kamryn Winch was an unstoppable force down low this season. The senior averaged a convincing double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds so it should come as no surprise that she was named to the 2022 Girls Basketball Winter Dream Team by area coaches. Even at a 6’3 frame, Winch has graceful footwork in the post.

As the tallest player on the court, Winch had to deal with a lot of physicality on the low block. Her response to the physical plays is simple. Power through.

Winch is going to play Division II basketball at Maryville University in St. Louis next year. It will be a while before she hits the court in a Saints uniform, but she is already developing a great relationship with the players and coaches.

Her favorite memory as a Raider? Getting the best of a tough opponent.

North County went 18-7 this past year and would fall in the Class 5 District 1 Tournament to Cape Notre Dame.
