North County’s Karter Kekec Comments on Being Named Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week

(Bonne Terre, Mo.) One of the premier players on the hardwood in southeast Missouri, North County’s Karter Kekec was selected as our Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week.

He led his team to a 3-0 record last week which included a victory over Potosi in the Class 4 District 2 Quarterfinals.

Across those three games, Kekec averaged 22.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

He says he’s honored by the selection as Athlete of the Week.

When talking with Raiders head coach Jimmy Palmer earlier this week, he emphasized Kekec’s effort not just during games but also at practice as well.

Karter says that hard works comes from a desire to lead by example.

With his junior basketball season now in the books, Kekec reflects on his time with North County and says it’s fun having the chance to compete night in and night out with the Raiders.

As part of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week Award, Karter Kekec received a t-shirt, a certificate, and decided Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to the Carlie Huff Foundation.
