A stellar basketball season for North County sophomore point guard Karter Kekec now includes a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team, although Kekec admits he didn’t really see the honor coming.

Kekec was a scoring machine this season for the Raiders, pouring in 18 points per game and scoring as much as 35 in a game. Kekec says he knew from the beginning he would have to be a volume scorer because of heavy graduation losses.

While being an excellent student with a 3.47 grade-point average and keeping busy with baseball this spring, Kekec is excited to get back on the court next winter with his classmates and fellow Raiders.

Kekec was a first team all-conference selection in the MAAA and was fourth in player of the year voting in his district. To hear the full interview with Karter Kekec, click below.
