North County’s Pratt Signed to Run with Missouri Baptist

(Bonne Terre) One of the top runners at North County has found herself a home for the next four years.

Lydia Pratt signed today to continue her running career with the Missouri Baptist track and cross country teams.

She says she chose MoBap for several reasons.

While Pratt has had a great career running for North County, it was a career that almost never got off the ground.

She moved to Bonne Terre in 7th grade and decided to go out for the cross country team as a way to make friends and to try something new.

After the first practice, she decided that it was not for her.

Then she was contacted by the head coach, Cory Dicus, who is still the track and cross country coach at North County, and the rest was history.

Missouri Baptist track and cross country head coach Brennan Cape says Pratt checks all the boxes for what they are looking for in a runner.

Pratt will be competing with the North County track and field team this spring where she runs the two-mile, mile, 800m, and 4×800 before she heads off to St. Louis to join the Spartans in the fall.
