North County's Reed named Applebee's of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Bonne Terre) North County Raiders senior Nolan Reed is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

The Raider quarterback and linebacker not only ran for a touchdown.

He also completed 9 of 12 pass attempts for 136 yards, including a 72-yard TD that doubled up North County’s lead.

Reed added big plays on defense in the Raiders’ 24-0 victory over the Hillsboro Hawks in the Class 4 District 1 championship game.

NCHS head coach Brian Jones says Reed never loses his composure in the big spots.

Reed has rushed for 20 touchdowns this season in helping North County go 11-1 and reach the Class 4 state quarterfinals against Vashon.

As Athlete of the Week, Reed receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
