North County soccer senior Grant Strauser played on plenty of teams with veteran leadership during his career.

But this year was the first he felt like he had to be the leader, and he guided the Raiders to a district championship and earned a Regional Radio Dream Team selection.

Strauser says he was looking to help out younger players all the way back at the start of the season.

Strauser set quite the example, scoring a team-high 18 goals.

Strauser says his head coach Rob O’Keefe has been a great influence.

Strauser is hoping to continue to play soccer collegiately.
