North County’s Wigger named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Bonne Terre) North County Raiders junior Layne Wigger is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.
In what has been a breakout boys’ basketball season for Wigger, his scoring prowess carried the Raiders to 2 wins last week.
Wigger scored 28 points in only 3 quarters of action in a victory over the DeSoto Dragons, then followed it up with 31 points in a rivalry win against the Farmington Knights.
Only a one-point loss to Cape Central where Wigger poured in 33 points kept North County from a perfect week.
Wigger is averaging 20 points per game for the 9-9 Raiders.
As Athlete of the Week, he receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
