Northwest High School and Woodridge Middle School students headed to Nation’s Capital

(Cedar Hill) Northwest High School and Woodridge Middle School Rocket Teams have qualified for Nationals in Washington D.C. Northwest schools

Superintendent Dr. Desi Kirchhofer says the national championships will kick off this Saturday.

This year’s rules required teams to build a model rocket that carries two raw eggs.

Northwest R-1 has been represented in the American Rocket Challenge for three years.

This year, more than 720 teams representing 41 states designed and built model rockets in hopes of qualifying for the National Finals.
