Northwest R-1 Board Will Get Construction Updates at Thursday Meeting
(CEDAR HILL)    The Northwest R-1 School District began putting Proposition “S” bond issue proceeds to use over the summer on security projects at its elementary schools, according to Northwest Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Hecktor.  Proposition “S” was passed by district voters in April and it allowed the district to borrow $28 million. Hecktor says security cameras were replaced prior to the new school year.

The Northwest school board will hold their regular monthly meeting tomorrow (Thursday) night.  Dr. Hecktor says the district’s construction manager SM Wilson and architect Paragon will give the board an update on the multipurpose building project at the high school.

According to Hecktor, the district will break ground on the multipurpose building in the spring.
