Northwest R-1 Patrons Approve Proposition “S”

(CEDAR HILL)    Northwest R-1 School Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Hecktor says district patrons can expect a number of improvements to district facilities now that “Proposition S: Safety and Security for Our Students” was approved by voters yesterday (Tuesday).  The $28 million dollar no tax increase issue passed with 62% approval.  Dr. Hecktor says security renovations will be made to school buildings.

Dr. Hecktor says the passage of the issue also means new playground equipment.

The Northwest R-1 School Board member Sherri Talbott is retiring and Michelle Coats was elected to fill the vacancy on the board.
