Northwest schools recognition night, awardees to be announced

(Jefferson County) Recognition night awardees will be announced in the coming days in the Northwest School District.

Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Hecktor says employees are nominated by students, families of students, and colleagues.

There will be three Golden Bell winners, and three Apple Award winners.

Finally, there are the awards for the elementary, middle, and high school Teachers of the Year with one winner from each building.

Those three are then interviewed in depth, where a District Teacher of the Year is recognized.

A recognition night banquet will be held in April honoring all the winners.
