(CEDAR HILL) Northwest junior wrestler Chase Stegall participated in the Missouri Boys Wrestling State Championships last weekend at Mizzou Arena in Columbia and brought home a 2nd place medal.

Chase wrestled in the 195-pound weight class this season and faced number-one nationally ranked Devin Winston of Park Hill in the championship match. Chase talks about his run through the bracket and his mindset heading into the final.

 
Despite taking 2nd, the experience of wrestling in a final was one to remember for Chase.

 
Chase’s older brother Tyler also wrestled at Northwest and was a state champion for the Lions during his time there. Tyler got to witness Chase finish 2nd and just had words of encouragement after the match.
