(Cedar Hill) How a person handles responsibility is a defining trait.

Northwest Lions senior Andrew Lenzen was given plenty of responsibility in his final football season.

He responded by making it onto the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Lenzen had already been a starting cornerback as a junior.

He says this offseason was about getting ready to step up on offense.

Lenzen became the top pass-catcher for the Lions in 2020 with 715 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns.

He says having a good rapport with senior quarterback Trey Davis made it easy.

Lenzen helped Northwest win its most games in a season since 1998.

But, while he thanks all his coaches and teammates, he also had a special message for Lions fans.

Lenzen also finished fourth on the team in tackles and handled the team’s kicking and punting duties.
