(Branson) The Oak Ridge Boys have kicked off their farewell tour in Missouri.
And they are playing the big hits.
The Oak Ridge Boys will tour through December 17th.
They were founded in 1943 as the Oak Ridge Quartet.
In the early 60’s, they changed their name to the Oak Ridge Boys.
Since they formed in the 40s, the group has performed country, gospel and sometimes both styles of music together.
They have 16 shows scheduled in Branson.
They will also perform this Friday night in Jefferson City and October 6th in Kansas City.
The Oak Ridge Boys just played in Steelville at the Meramec Music Theatre on August 27th.
The Oak Ridge Boys were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015.
