One Injured Wednesday Evening In Jefferson County Traffic Accident

One person was injured in a one vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Jefferson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 29-year old Christopher Thomas of De Soto was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Cobalt, traveling southbound on Missouri 21 north of the 174.0 mile marker.

The crash occurred when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway.

Thomas and his vehicle then traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a rock bluff, and overturned.

Thomas was taken to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.
