One of the suspects in connection to the burglary at the Pevely Street Department building has been arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for other charges.

The suspect was arrested on October 9th and according to a press release from Pevely Police, on October 11th, John W. Gaynor was charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree with a conditional bond of $75,000 surety only.

Pevely Police are still looking for Gaynor’s accomplices. Sometime between July 27th and 28th the Pevely Street Department building was broken into.

Alongside damage to the building, the thieves stole around $100,00 worth of tools and equipment, including two trucks. In the press release, police say they have recovered both stolen vehicles but none of the other items.
