Optimists and Rotary team up for Brendon’s Friday Backpack

(Festus, Crystal City) Two Festus-Crystal City groups will team up for donation items to Brendon’s Friday Backpacks later this week. The Twin City Optimist Club and the Festus-Crystal City Rotary Club will work together to accept donations for the organization on Thursday afternoon. Mary Kay Scott is the president of Twin City Optimist Club. She says Brendon’s Backpack provides food items to underprivileged children over the weekends.
Scott says they are looking for specific food items.
The need to replenish the supply of food items for Brendon’s Backpack is very much needed due to schools not being in session from now until August. The donations can be dropped off on Thursday, from Noon until 1 PM at Quonset Lanes in Crystal City.
